As a young, successful singer-songwriter she is already one of history's best selling artists. Barbados born, she first was a fan of reggae when she grew and then began singing for herself as a teenager. When she was disturbed by the chaos of her family life and constant fights with her father, she became immersed with music. In the end, she discovered she was meant to make it as an accomplished professional. In high school she was a part of a band group, and was asked to sing to be a part of Evan Rodgers. The producer was very impressed with the talent of this teenager. He requested for the teenager to be relocated into New York and pursue a professional singing career. Rihanna happily accepted. Rihanna soon became an international star following her first release. Her uplifting songs became top of the charts among teenagers, motivating her into film.
