McKayla Rose Maroney (also known as "Mack Air Maroney") is an American famous gymnast. She was awarded gold by her US Olympian gymnastics team, as well as a silver medal for an individual in the Summer Olympic Games in 2012. Her first experience in gymnastics was when she was a child because her parents are sports enthusiasts. Her specialty was the vault. As the only athlete that has been able to defend her gold medal from the 2011 World Championships, she also won it at the 2013 Championships. She was disappointed when she won the silver medal for vaulting was apparent and she hoped to achieve gold again during the Rio Olympic Games of 2016. Due to an injury and health concerns, she decided to end her career in gymnastics just before her participation in the Olympic Games commenced.
